Please shut down any Antivirus SW on your PC (it
must be shut down not disabled, see your AV suppliers
documentation on instructions how to do this) while using the
Nextgen Server, This is very important !!
Before you go any further make sure Active Sync
has been shut down, or the Client will be unable to communicate
with the phone.
Also if you use “Microsoft Active Sync” Shut that down as well.
Unlocking the HTC HERMES / UNIVERSAL
1. Run Client
2. Enter your User name & Password under “username & password”
tab
3. Click on “server settings” make sure “main server” is
selected
4. In “phone settings” select "HTC Smartphone" then “Hermes 100” from drop down list.
5. Open up the cover over the SD card,
6. Connect USB Sync Cable (as supplied with phone)
7. Place Phone in “Test Mode” using the instruction below..
• Press and Hold both the POWER and the side OK buttons
• Using Pen/stylus Press and hold for 1 second Reset button
• Release reset button, then release POWER & OK buttons
• Display should be red/blue etc and detail boot loader version
• Phone is now in Test Mode
If phone still not in Test mode: Simultaneously
press the light button, the suspend/power button and the reset
button (you will need the stylus for that because the reset
button is in a small hole on the side)
