1. Switch ON the mobile with a sim card that is not accepted,
2. The phone will prompt you for an unlock code
3. Enter the Unlock Code we sent to you.
Models : HP iPaq 6315
1. On the Today screen, tap Start > Settings.
2. Tap the Phone Band icon.
3. Tap Shift + Ctl key to enable the keys.
4. Tap the area below the band selection box to open the unlock tool.
5. Tap Shift + Ctl to disable the keys.

6. Enter the 8-digit unlock code and tap OK when done.
7. Wait for the device to validate the unlock code (about five seconds).
You will see one of the following screens:
-Unlock successful.
-Unlock failed due to incorrect code. The user has three attempts to
unlock.
After three attempts, the device will refuse any more unlocking attempts.
Perform a soft reset to reset the counter to perform additional unlocking
attempts.
-Device is not ready for unlocking. This error message displays when the
user tries to unlock when the phone application (not the device) is not in
a steady state. It takes 30 seconds after powering on the phone for it to
reach a steady state.
Troubleshooting:
Stage 1:
If your handset does not accept the unlock code please follow the
instructions below
You need to be in an area with good cell phone coverage.
Please follow these exact steps
1. Insert a T-mobile SIM card
2. Hard reset the iPaq by holding down the power button and pushing the
soft-reset button until the device restarts.
3. Go through the setup procedure with calibration and get to the default
home screen
4. Verify that there are service bars showing in the top of the screen and
the green/orange phone light on the top right is blinking green
5. Wait 60 seconds after verifying everything is ok
6. Enter the unlock code, it should be accepted by the second time
If these steps do not work, please insert a different SIM card and start
at step 2.
Stage 2: (HP iPaq 6300 series)
You will need to download and install the ROM update from:
http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/HandheldiPAQ/us/download/22572.html
There is a bug in the loading of the firmware that does not allow some
iPaq's to unlock. After you have completed the update, follow the unlock
instructions above again.

1. The ROM Revision and Bootloader Version which can be found in;
Start>Settings>System>HP Asset Viewer>Version.
2. Please dial *#06# on the ipaq phone application and e-mail me the
result.
