Q. How do I enter my Blackberry Unlock code?

Q. Blackberry JIC Unlocking software error: " Phone Not Found or Phone found but not responding. Please reboot "

A. Ensure that;

  1. The cable drivers are installed and the handset is recognised by your PC
     
  2. Your firewall(s) both windows and any other 3rd party firewall is disabled. If you're connection from within a corporate network then this will not be possible as you will have no control over the corporate firewall.  You will need to carry out the unlocking process from a Personal/Home PC where you have full control over the status of the firewall.
     
  3. If you are connection via a router - ensure that you have UDP port enabled
     
  4. Does your handset connect to a BES (Blackberry Enterprise Server)? If so then there may be a security policy enabled that is restricting the unlocking software from connection to your phone...Instructions to remove the policy can be found here >> http://blackberry.ig3.net/
