A. TAT mode is the Service mode that Samsung handsets need to bootup into
in-order for servicing functions such as removing the sim/network lock(s) to
take place.
"TAT mode failed" error is caused by either one the of the two reasons below;
1. You have not selected the correct Comport that your phone is connect to;
Ensure you select the correct Comport number. If you have the cable drivers
installed correctly (USB Cables only) then you should be able to find which
Comport your cable is using by checking the "Ports (COM & LPT)" in device
manager.
To access the device manager:
Go to windows control panel
Double Click on the 'System' icon in control panel In the System Properties
window, click the Hardware tab, then click Device Manager.
2. The cable you are using is not be cable of unlocking;
If you have selected the correct com port and are still experiencing this error
then this is because your data cable does not support unlocking. It is not able
to send commands to the phone in-order to switch it into TAT mode (service
mode). You need to purchase the exact cable recommended by the unlocking
software.
