How to unlock your Samsung phone after buying an unlock Credit

IMPORTANT: Make sure your phone battery is fully charged before unlocking!

A. Enter your Credit information (i.e Username and  Password)

B. Click on Connect to connect the the unlock server. (Make sure your firewall is disabled or configure to allow the unlock client to make the connection)

C. Select your Model

D. A Picture will be displayed (if available) showing you your select model. You will see these instruction in the white log screen  and you might have to turn
off your phone (depending on your Model)

E. Select the comport to which your phone is connected (if using serial cable it is usually COM 1 to 3 and for usb cable it will most likely be higher number) You
can try all, it won’t harm anything!  The client software tell you what cable is needed to unlock that particular handset in the Cable Selector section of the
    software.

F. Select the Function you want to carry out and Now follow the instructions in the white log screen at your right.

The client will instruct you to remove battery, disconnect the phone and remove battery. Now place battery back and start the phone with your simcard.

Done!

Important notes:

  • Some models such as the U600 will ask which ‘mode’ to go into on the phone itself! Choose ‘Samsung studio’ NOT d/l mode.
  • An FTDI cable is a special usb cable which has a serial port emulator built in. This kind of cable is needed for all phones that have to be turned OFF before unlocking

Troubleshooting:

I ‘ve got pcomm-1 error?!

This means our software does not recognize your phone. Likely you haven’t installed you cable drivers (correctly) or you need to select other comport or you are using the wrong cable.

To check if drivers are installed correctly and which comport you need to select:
Go to 'start' >> go to 'settings' >> start 'control panel'
Go to 'system'>> go to 'hardware' tab and Press 'device manager' button
Go to modems and You should see SAMSUNG CDMA modem (if not then your drivers aren't installed ok) go to 'Universal serial bus controllers’
You should see SAMSUNG USB Composite Device
At modems -> Samsung CDMA modem right mouse click and choose ‘properties’ go to tab 'modem' and there you see the comport number you should choose

You can download Samsung drivers from here

The comport number I need is not available in the software?!

This means some other software is using that comport. Close down any other software that could be using a comport. Software such as ‘Samsung studio’
should be disabled.

My comport is higher then ‘16’ I can select it in SRS software?!
You have to change it in this case. This is how to do it:
Go to 'start' >> go to 'settings' >> start 'control panel'
Go to 'system'>> go to 'hardware' tab and Press 'device manager' button
Go to 'Modems' and you should see the 'Samsung CMDA MODEM' there (if not then your drivers aren't installed ok)
Right click on it and choose 'properties' and Now go to 'Advanced' tab
Click the 'Advanced Port settings'
There you can change the com port number.
Now just reconnect your phone again (same usb port of course!)

Other points of attention:
Check your cable is there any (little) switch on it? If yes it must be on ‘d/l’
